I am a firm believer that food is fuel. When our daughter, Parker, was diagnosed in utero with a congenital heart defect, we had no idea how much nutrition would ultimately play a role in her journey and recovery over the past five years. I look forward to sharing her story with you all one day soon; but, my point in regards to my introduction to Recipes is, receiving news Parker would be sick, and later watching her fight for her life and struggle to eat, forever changed my philosophy on food and nutrition. I quickly and passionately became someone that is meticulous about everything I put into my body, and into the bodies of my family. I don’t diet, at all. I do, however, carefully select productive foods, with purpose. As a strategist in the hospitality industry turned restaurant blogger, I have a true passion for dining out and for the artistry of recipe creation. This is where these two worlds collide.
Becoming a mother and transitioning to the majority of our meals being enjoyed at home has been a whole ‘nother ballgame. To date, lovehas always been the core ingredient in my cooking. Love? Yes, love, because who won’t eat your cooking if it’s made with love, right? Wrong. And truth be told, it has taken a whole lot of love and a whole lot of misses in the kitchen to find my way. And lets just say, I’m still navigating.
Here’s what you’re going to find here:
The Basics – Basic skills, foundational ingredients, techniques and beginner recipes across a variety of cuisines, to boost your confidence in the kitchen. Think cooking 101. As well as hacks for saving time in the kitchen. Maybe we will even chop these up with some of my friends in the industry.
Curated Recipes for the Family – I’ll take on cook books and modify meal delivery recipes for what we eat at home; as well as curate top recipes from contributors and favorite bloggers.
Mom Fuel – All things mom needs to power through her day.
Cooking with Kids – Tips and recipes for kids’ lunchboxes, and for picky eaters. Lots of cooking and fun in the kitchen with the girls. You may even see some silly wine pairings for me with these recipes.

Hello ,
I saw your tweets and thought I will check your website. Have to say it looks very good!
I’m also interested in this topic and have recently started my journey as young entrepreneur.
I’m also looking for the ways on how to promote my website. I have tried AdSense and Facebok Ads, however it is getting very expensive.
Can you recommend something what works best for you?
Would appreciate, if you can have a quick look at my website and give me an advice what I should improve: http://janzac.com/
(Recently I have added a new page about FutureNet and the way how users can make money on this social networking portal.)
I have subscribed to your newsletter. 🙂
Hope to hear from you soon.
P.S.
Maybe I will add link to your website on my website and you will add link to my website on your website? It will improve SEO of our websites, right? What do you think?
Regards
Jan Zac
